Kyiv region: cooperation that everyone needs
The issue of building new and preserving existing local fire brigades in Kyiv region is now very acute. After all, after the administrative reform, it is the newly created communities that are able to guarantee the protection of their residents from fires and emergencies.
This can be achieved only by creating a well-developed network of local fire brigades, where volunteers will work alongside rescuers from local fire brigades. Currently, there are 44 rural fire brigades in the region, but this is not enough, given the rapid development of the capital region.
Specialists of the State Emergency Service are actively cooperating with the leadership of Studenykivska, Divychkviska and Tsyblivska territorial communities to help create local fire brigades in their settlements. And there are already the first results of such interaction. In particular, in the room where the local fire brigade will be located in the village of Divychky, works on arrangement, repair and heating of the premises were carried out.
Specialists of the State Emergency Service told and demonstrated how to use emergency rescue equipment, stressed the basic safety standards when the temperature drops. The work continues in other communities of Kyiv region, where together with rescuers conscious citizens are involved in the process of creating a strong network of local fire protection.
