Lviv region: local fire brigade started working in the village of Voloshcha
Local fire protection is the key to ensuring reliable protection of the population from emergencies, especially in rural areas. Therefore, in the Lviv region, much attention is paid to the creation of such units in the region.
So, on December 30 in with. Voloshcha of Drohobych district solemnly opened the local fire brigade.
The unit will serve 9 settlements with more than 5,000 inhabitants.
The fire station is located on the territory of TZDV "Voloshchanske". Four locals will serve in the newly created unit. Rural firefighters, provided with combat clothing and equipment and the necessary firefighting equipment. The fire truck for the local fire brigade was handed over by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast.
The celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the voluntary fire brigade were attended by the leadership of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region, local governments and community representatives.
Yuriy Kagitin, Head of the Main Department, said: “I would like to thank the local self-government bodies for their constant active support in establishing the unit. We also sincerely thank the management of the company that provided the premises for the service. And the established local fire protection on the territory of the community will allow to react more quickly to emergencies and provide reliable protection of the community. "
After the welcoming speech, the honored guests cut the symbolic ribbon at the entrance to the fire station and the rector of the local church consecrated the fire truck and the premises of the fire station, where rescuers will serve.
From now on, the community will feel safer.
