In the Lisogrynivtsi community in the Khmelnytsky region, a local fire brigade created in 2016 has been working as an emergency rescue service for over two years. In 2018, the community decided that it would be good if volunteers who expressed a desire to put out fires in the community could also save people and property in various emergencies.
After undergoing special training, the local fire brigade became the only such local emergency service in Ukraine at that time, created on the basis of the fire brigade. Currently, it remains the only such service in the Khmelnytsky region.
Oleksandr Hulko, Head of the Sector for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Khmelnytsky Oblast, told Public about this.
The fire brigade, on the basis of which the emergency rescue service later worked, was created in the Lisovohrynivtsi community to provide assistance to the population as soon as possible in case of fires or emergencies, said Yevhen Kukura, deputy head of the technogenic safety department.
"In 2018, this unit was the first of all fire brigades in Ukraine to be certified by the interdepartmental certification commission and received the status of emergency rescue service. rescuing people on water bodies. Regional development funds in the amount of 630,000 hryvnias were raised, which were used to purchase a car and fire and rescue equipment, "said Yevhen Kukura.
During 2021, the Lisovohrynivtsi Emergency Rescue Service was involved in firefighting, road accidents and natural disasters 93 times, said Borys Kryvenko, head of the Lisovohrynivtsi Emergency Rescue Service.
