Chernivtsi region: the Center for Citizen Safety was opened in the Velykokuchurivka territorial community
On November 17, the Center for Citizen Safety began its work in the Velykokuchurivka territorial community. It became the second one created in Chernivtsi region. The celebrations on the occasion of its opening were attended by the leadership of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region, the head of the Velykokuchurivka territorial community, representatives of emergency services and community residents.
The security center combines four structures - a rescue unit, a police station, a medical service and a CNAP. In general, the issue of public safety in the Velykokuchurivka territorial community is given much attention. In particular, thanks to cooperation with the Main Directorate of the SES of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region in Velykokuchurivka territorial community managed to implement a project with the Republic of Poland under the program "U-LEAD with Europe", according to which the community created volunteer firefighters to help local fire and rescue. They have undergone professional training, received updated protective equipment and gear to help them fight fires. And the establishment of the Security Center will now help to address the issues of protection of the population from dangers even more effectively and comprehensively and will help to establish close cooperation between services and community residents.
"The safety of citizens is one of the priorities of the Rescue Service. It is nice that there are community leaders who share our position and care about the population, its reliable protection. The establishment and proper functioning of the Security Center will ensure prompt response to all events, promote comprehensive assistance to citizens and ensure their safety in the Velykokuchurivka territorial community, "said Serhiy Mykhailyuk, Head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Chernivtsi Oblast. Then, for a significant contribution to ensuring the safety of citizens, Serhiy Mykhailyuk awarded the head of the Velykokuchurivska TG Vasyl Toderenchuk with the "For Assistance" award.
